We run a family-owned farm shop in Somerset, selling a range of fantastic local produce.
Our eggs come from our free-range hens, fabulously spoilt by Jenny. We sell our delicious Guernsey milk and cream raw and unpasteurised, just as nature intended.
It takes 10 minutes to walk from the field where we grow many of our vegetables and flowers to the shop; other vegetables are sourced through an organic wholesaler.
Our meat (we sell mutton, veal and game as well as the usual) comes from Ruth Kimber (winner of the 2010 Harmsworth Award for Outstanding Contribution to Food in Somerset) at Charlton Musgrove, Jeff Cracknell at Langport, and other small-scale, local producers.
Our bread comes daily from a bakery approx three miles away. Cakes, jams, chutneys, and honey are all made locally. All this means we can be sure that our produce is seasonal - no strawberries in December here - and as fresh as can be.
